SkyDemon Light for iOS

SkyDemon Light is a free basic flight-planning tool designed specifically for UK pilots. It offers a range of features to assist pilots in route planning and navigation. One of the standout features of SkyDemon Light is its vector charts, which are known for their clarity and ease of use. These charts allow pilots to easily visualize their flight routes and make changes as needed by simply touching consecutive waypoints and dragging. The charts also support dynamic airspace clipping and offer a choice of map layers, providing pilots with comprehensive and up-to-date information.

Another useful feature of SkyDemon Light is its Pilot Log facility. This feature calculates headings and groundspeeds based on input wind vectors, allowing pilots to accurately plan their flights. The app also supports intuitive pan, pinch, and rotate gestures, ensuring that pilots can navigate the charts with ease without sacrificing map clarity or text legibility. In addition to route planning and navigation, SkyDemon Light also provides valuable information on NOTAMs (Notice to Airmen). The app offers a narrow-route briefing that is updated as you plan your flight, ensuring that you have the latest information.
