• A Great program for many Years!!

  Pros

  This program finds, organizes, and visualizes your files in an easy and logical fashion. I've been using this product for 4 years now. I have used it on my local PC to find files I'm looking for but mostly I use it to find which files are taking up the most space. I also use this program with network shares.

  Cons

  It can take a long time when you are working on network shares or Millions of files to process. I wish they had an enterprise or tech version to allow me to install and use on many systems. I'd also like to see this program run without installing. Perhaps on a USB Stick this way the 'tech' version could be used quite quickly as a tool to resolve issues with servers, VM's, etc.

• Did exactly what I needed

  Pros

  I needed to delete a large number of folders which related to music files but did not contain any playable files. Windows was unable to identify them by content or size. Although the folders appeared to be empty,each actually contained album art data which was invisible to explorer and unaccompanied by any music files. Sizeexplorer allowed me to identify the files by size and erase them.

  Cons

  Filelister does not return to the selected file in the explorer window.

  Summary

  Very useful utility. It would be nice if it could present a list of files by hovering over a folder rather than having to actually open it in the filelister module.

  Pros

  Excellent at helping to explore and control disk content. Intuitive interface. Clear and easy to use displays.

  Cons

  None for me.

  Summary

  I rely on SizeExplorer Pro 4 to help me look after my disk usage.

  Pros

  Pleasantly surprised to find it finds duplicate records. Love the layout of the exported information into Excel - makes for less formatting on my part!

  Cons

  I haven't run into any aspect I don't like.

  Summary

  The best product of it's kind that I've found! Definitely worth it to purchase!

  Pros

  Fast scan. Let you save your scans and compare it with previous scans. Find duplicates. Command line tools to automate scanning and report generation. Multi-lingual. A lot of skins to customize interface. A freeware version is available.

  Cons

  None so far.

  Summary

  I am a system administrator and was looking for a product like this for a long time. I can now manage all my servers (over 120) easily and provide great reports to my boss. The new compare tool is awesome. Each week I can find out which files was added, removed or changed. A real time saver. I also bought a copy for my home computer which is now always clean and fast. I recommend this product to everyone and if you don't need advanced features just download the free version.

• Overpriced to a Point of Being Insulting

  There is nothing wrong with the program functionally, but there is nothing special or different about it that warrants a $35 price tag. Drive space manager programs are a "dime a dozen" on the freeware market. For example, if one were to compare this program with WinDirStat (Open Source) or Belarc Advisor (Freeware) you will be able to see just how insulting that $35 price tag really is.

• Great for disk cleanup

  Pros

  This is a top-notch program that is very intuitive. Folders are arranged by size, pie charts can be left or right clicked for different functions, and files can be opened directly from the program to see their contents/function.

  Cons

  It crashed once when I was trying to delete an open file.

  Pros

  This program is an excellent tool for cleaning up one's hard-disk. Personally, I had/have a 100 GB Hard-Drive that became completely filled; furthermore, I had only 10 GB of media (movies, music ect...) that is the primary space waster on a computer's hard disk. I, being sick of having to delete files and defrag my computer all the time, downloaded this program. Site Explorer Pro gives you a nice GUI (Graphical User Interface) from which one can quickly diagnose[sp?] problems. I found the issue that was sucking up my space in under two minutes (fixed that) and then went on to manage my media files to save more space. I went from using 95 GB of data to using 50 GB of data in a few minutes. In short, I would recomend this program for anyone that is having 'space issues' on their computer. It is an intuitive program with a nice GUI and it allows you to see bottlenecks in your system: ***** five starts :)! Peace.
