Great Product

- I started using Budget Planner by Simpleplanning.com about three years ago now. It is a great spreadsheet that is extremely simple (no pun intended) to use. I started out by building a quick budget which is very flexible to use. You have eight different frequencies for a particular line item which is great because not everything is just a Weekly or Monthly frequency. Once your budget is built, all you have to do is enter your expenses in the tracking worksheet. Everything is calculated automatically. The charts are great and can easily be changed to just one month, year to day, etc. I use the spreadsheet where I enter my expenses once a month, but Simpleplanning also has a spreadsheet that will allow you to enter your expenses every day. This is a great product and for the price, it is well worth it. You can't go wrong.

- Was looked at last year and tried the basic planner. Waited until I tried several others before looking further into using this version - Simple Budget with daily spending. Bingo - we have a winner! This version provides the ease of use for simple accounting techniques that covered every aspect I needed in a budget planner. Kudos to the programmers and to the customer support team, both better than I have ever received!

- I've been a user of these planners for a few years and can honestly say that they have helped organize and manage my personal budget. I have not used them for my small business yet but I am looking forward to it. Their email support is quick and courteous as well which is usually a deal maker/breaker for me; overall a great investment.

- 1. A clean, detailed, very easy to understand and user-friendly spreadsheet-based application. 2. Can be downloaded/used/copied and saved on any PC, in any version of Excel. 3. All information is for your eyes only, without shari your banking/credit card info online. 4. All the important cells containing complicated formulas are already locked/protected to prevent any errors/screw-up with the data entered over a period of time; total peace of mind! 5. Detailed tracking and comparison info (with pie-charts) for any month or whole year; to feel good you are on track and reminder warning where you need to work on. 6. Flexibility to add as many spending categories; customizable! 7. Only a small one-time purchase price, but worth spending, when you compare it with other web-based applications available online, with high monthly or annual subscription fee attached to them. 8. Can be used year after year, without paying anything extra as you own it fully after the purchase.

- Personally, I did not find any cons for my own use and needs. However, I could think of the following for those who might have different needs. 1. Not for those who are not detailed oriented and prefer to let the online applications save and use their personal banking/credit card credentials for inputting the data on their behalf. 2. Can be time consuming to input all the data manually. 3. Not for those who are looking for something absolutely free to use. However, even though it is not pricey either, we must acknowledge the time and efforts of the developers and encourage them to keep making similar tools for making everyone's life easier by enabling them to take control and make best of their financial situations.

- One of the most unique and downloadable spreadsheet-based applications available out there, and I could not find any other similar comparable application like this. I am glad after a long research, I was able to find it online, since I was looking for something which can be downloaded and used/customized, without sharing my personal banking/credit card information with anyone online and give full access to them about my personal and super-sensitive financial information. I have been using it for years, without any problems and I am extremely satisfied with its performance, for looking after all my budgeting needs. This tool has immensely helped me to become wiser in my spending and I started giving value to each and every dollar that I earn. Unexpected Surprise and Pleasure

- simple, intuitive and somewhat easily modified. Because it uses Excel and is intuitive, the learning curve is short. I thought I needed all of those bells and whistles of the other commercial versions. But the value of this program is superior to some of the others I have used that cost much more.

- Need to be careful about modifying the cells since this can corrupt the program. I haven't had any issues because other users have highlighted that potential issue.

- For more than 15 years, I had been using most of the other well known names that cost much more. They were and are good but the relative value compared to this program is far less. I can explain how this one works more easily. I just want to keep things simple, keeping track of what matters most in a straightforward manner. This program does it.
