SimBust Folder Manger is an application that allows users to quickly open folders previously visited. It automatically remembers all the folders users have opened recently. Users can incrementally search folder name and quickly open the folder in Windows File Explorer session using shortcut keys. SFM doesn't have its own file manager window; instead it works with Windows File Explorer by remembering folder history, window size and position. SFM is especially handy for users who frequently navigate folders in File Explorer.

Does what it says but a few flaws and trip-ups

Pros
Quickly navigate to your recently used folders. Search for recently used folders (or folders used some time ago) by name / keyword (e.g. bank) and jump straight to them. Close excess folder windows knowing you can easy find them again by searching.
Cons
No Help on startup. Need to locate and read the Help file. Without this I did not have a clue how to make the program useful! Does not remember folder screen positions on my XP system. Works in a weird way using what it calls Explorer 1 & 2.
Summary
For people like me who have files all over the place it really saves time to be able to search for my recently used folders (or folders I used some time ago) by searching for the name or part of the name (e.g. bank) and jump straight to them (using the F2 key). Beats wasting time navigating through horrible the Windows Explorer tree view. To get started, run the program and ignore the seemingly random 2 Explorer windows that pop up and align themselves to the sides of your desktop at top and bottom. You don't actually need these Windows, or at least I don't in my workflow. Now Read the Help file - right click inside the program window where it may have already added a few recent folders. There should be a Help option file there. If not, you could try going to C:/Program Files/SimBust Folder Manager/SimBust Folder Manager Help.html if you understand what I mean by that. The way I use the program (which may not be the way you want to use it) is this. The program sits in the background remembering folders as I do my work. It seemed to be slow to start remembering my folders but rest assured it should be OK once it gets warmed up. When I want to go to an older folder I just hit CTRL-SHIFT-Z and the SimBust Folder Manager window pops up (or you could click on the Task Bar to get to it). Hit CTRL-F (or click in the Seach box) and type your search keyword - e.g. bank. Then hit F2 to open it up in a new window. Thats it! Unfortunately, even though the program says it remembers the old window positions, when i hit F2 it pops up at a random location on my XP Windows system. It would be great if it really did remember them. Maybe it only does it on Vista or Windows 7. Also it would be great if the folder was already open but hidden somewhere, it would just activate that window instead of opening a new window, when it doesn't need to. This is a good free product with a few flaws but I think I will keep using it. Beats having to waste time with excess clicking and messing around. Thanks SimBust - Please keep up the good work and maybe you can fix the problems I found!
