Pros
I run my small programming business on Dot Net programs using *ONLY* Sharpdevelop.
<p>It has everything you need - syntax highlighting, intelligent *dynamic* auto-complete, Integration with .Net SDK Help Documentation, automatic conversion of non-dotnet libraries and activex controls to dotnet formats. Allows you to use pre-build and post-build programs, Nant, Nunit,NDoc. Has VBDoc integrated into the system. In short, it gives proprietary IDEs real stiff competition.

Summary
Best alternative to Visual Studio I've ever seen!
jkuempel
Pros
This has a similar interface to and functionality of Microsoft Visual Studio, but it's much faster. It doesn't have all of the bells and whistles that VS does, but it has enough to make it a great alternative (including the visual designer), especially considering that it's free.
Cons
Lacks a few of the features that Visual Studio has. I'm unsure if it can use plug-ins or not.
