Sharefest is a one-to-many sharing application. It is serverless and it eliminates the need tofully upload your file to cloud-hosting services. Selectyour file and start sharing immediately with anyone that enters thepage. Pure javascript-based. No plugins needed thanks to HTML5 WebRTCData Channel API.
Sharefest operates on a mesh network similar to BitTorrent. Themain difference is that currently the peers are coordinated using anintelligent server. This coordinator controls which parts are sent fromA to B and who shall talk with whom. Peer5 Coordinator (or any othersolution) is used to accomplish this. Each peer will connect to fewother peers in order to maximize the distribution of the file.
The first version of Sharefest includes a simple page that one user will drag a file ontoto share, and other users will enter the first user's url and startdownloading the file.
