• Good Place for Beginner's to Start

  Slate2kOctober 31, 2012

  Pros

Support for Scales, Hand Exercises, Note Reading and Score Reading. The addition of a metronome is a nice touch, and the ability to customize the output is hepful for focusing on special areas of need. The option of uing MIDI, keyboard and mouse input is appreciated, since not everybody has a MIDI instrument to practice on, though I find it much easier - and more practical - to use the MIDI input.

  Cons

The rythm section is wonky. This is not an area I have difficulty with at all, yet I find it difficult to sync with the program's beats.

  Summary

Overall a good place for beginner's to start as well as a place for people, like myself, who are coming back to playing, to review. The feedback is quite useful and helps reinforce proper sight-reading. The rythm section is not up to par, but there's other free software that does a good job in that area.
