When the launch window informs you the free MP3 player you ve just downloaded will be of little use unless your files are organized hierarchically by artist and album, you know you're dealing with a limited application. In fact, mpThreePO offers nothing more than the ability to play song files in your preferred sequence or at random. To use the dull but simple interface, you browse to the folder where your music is located and click on the files to add a song to the playlist. That's where the features stop; no visualizations, EQ, or CD-ripping tools here. To make matters worse, we experienced some very serious stability problems, including numerous crashes and error message. Since this app is free and simple to use, you won't risk anything by trying it, but you're unlikely to gain much from the experience either.
This program seemed perfect for me at first but after I tried a few options it shut off giving me an unknown error. I tried to start it again and it errored again. So I installed it again and it worked normally until I tried another option and it crashed yet again. I would recommend using this program unless the programmers release a revised version.

Play your favorite music in a radiolike manner, but without commercials.mpThreePO is for playing MP3 files kept under the My Music folder, or some other folder organized in a similar hierarchal manner. It was developed for quick and easy playing only, not (yet) suitable for creating/maintaining libraries, mixes, or permanent playlists. It works very well for its intended purpose, especially if you like radiolike play of your favorite music, but without commercials. The application offers random play of either single songs or entire folder contents (CD), repeat playlist, list manipulation, and file searching options. It's very intuitive, and most operations are performed with a single mouse click, and it also features control-tip/tool-tip/roll-over help for everything.
