Intel softpaqs do not extract well so no way to get indiv. driver files. must retro-install with WinXP, from removable media -usb drive in my case
Cons
zero assuming your controller is one of the ones covered and you know how to install from removable media
Summary
if your controller is in the readme sys requirements, install this from a usb flash drive, but on the reboot immediately go to BIOS and switch to full SATA mode

That is why it says: "Operating system: Windows 2000/XP/2003/NT/XP" in the description. I bet it doesn't work for Mac, either, douchewit. Re: "broken link" Of course-that explains the 119,722 downloads. Please, please don't have children. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This IS the Intel driver set for ICH6(x) chipsets. These are the files you need to create a slipstreamed boot CD for skipping F6 loading (or to load from a floppy if you actually still have a floppy. ) Again... these work fine. There are no problems with this download. Updated on May 12, 2011Addendum: This package ALSO includes the drivers for ICH7(x) and ICH8(x), as well as 631/2xESB
