• Anything could be uploaded and thus backed-up.

  Pros

  Everything could be uploaded/downloaded into/from GMail using any other computer - anywhere / any country.

  Cons

  Support from RoamDrive is sadly lacking nowadays!

  Summary

  The programme worked very well - especially when ads. were removed as this DID interfere with uploading / downloading. For RoamDrive to work your computer must be clean... Failures using RoamDrive clogged up the computer, which then needed cleaning. The easiest way to clean is by downloading and then using "CCleaner" often! I'm assuming that your computer is "clean" regarding Virus / Spyware / Malware etc. and that both registry and files end up cleaned (decrapified using CCleaner + others) and defragmented (which means both files AND registry require defragmentation)! The weakest link inb the chain appeared to be the Internet Provider as RoamDrive couldn't cope with a continuation of an up/down load if the Internet connection was broken - even for a moment. Verbs in my text are in the past as there is some situation nowadays preventing RoamDrive from connecting with GMail! (Security / Terrorist / Paedophile / Malware reasons perhaps??) I haven't tried connecting to Hotmail - for the simple reason that it belongs to MicroSoft! Reporting the lack of connection to GMail within RoamDrive does not result in any feedback... anymore. There was a time when Support at RoamDrive actually replied - but no longer... General lack of funds due to there being no advertising - or something more devious?

• It Was All Good Just A Year Ago...

  Pros

  Around year ago I was able to upload a 250MB file to my GMail using this program. And BOY did I need it after a few system overhauls.

  Cons

  This program as of now doesn't work anymore with GMail. Try to refresh to see what files you have in your GMail and you'll get an annoying "Invalid URI" error message.

  Summary

  A year ago this was a 5 star program, unfortunately since they didn't keep up in updating this program it no longer works with GMail (Google probably changed just enough to break this program) so I was stuck downloading every split attachment, numbering each one & having to join the files back into my original ZIP archive (at least when it worked & split my file into separate files it did so using a standard split method so I could join with no hiccups). Too bad, because it was a pretty good program when it worked.

  No Pros as yet... because the program does not let u in at all.

  Cons

  pathetic software... waste of time and effort.

  Summary

  I started installing this software and it required .NET, so installed that as well online, now when i enter my gmail email address, it says please use one of the allowed email addresses... which is ofcourse and email from hotmail or gmail, but either one of them you enter, and it gives that same silly error...

  Does seem to remove w/control panel.

  Cons

  Does not w/Free Hotmail accounts or w/GMail accounts. Sorry, but this seems to be a waste of time.
