It doesn't so much diagnose PC issues as use a process of elimination to help uncover them, but this free program could be a useful tool for the novice user.

The user interface is kept very simple and the large "Click Here to Begin" button makes it obvious how you get started. There's no Help file, but the radio button operation is very easy to understand. The program begins with the most obvious issues, such as virus protection. From there, depending on your selections, it offers advice on what kinds of maintenance you should perform. It even offers links to programs, like a Registry cleaner, that might help you fix the problem.

A lot of the advice RipCurrent's PC Diagnostic Pro brings is probably common knowledge to the more experienced users. For the novice user, although it might not specifically diagnose issues, it can help troubleshoot them at no cost.

This is verging on the useless

There is nothing I can say in favour of this programme.
Cons
This tries to sell you their supported registry cleaner. If you do not buy theirs, they certainly don't diagnose what is wrong with your existing one. I bet they won't give you your money back when you discover theirs won't solve your problem either.
Summary
It is just a toll aimed at selling you the 'house' product.

This program doesn't scan your computer but instead asks you a series of questions narrowing the problem which can be a learning experience if the software was serious. The real problem with this software is that the only solutions it suggests to nomatter what problem you might experience is to download a few programs from Pareto Logic where you get a free scan but have to pay to have the problems fixed. Paretos Regcure found tons of problems in my recently formatted computer, example my computer contained less than 1 kb of internet clutter and unused files and therefore issued warning. Just as an information these programs start at 39.39 but youcant find pricing information until you commit to buying. Useless crapware.
