• Deceptive advertising...

  It only does it for one year. The packaging is VERY deceptive which I describe in my conclusion.

  Summary

  I purchased ring factory a little over a year ago and probably used it for 2 days to put a few tones on my blackberry. What I found disappointing is that when I tried to use it on my computer today I was told that my "subscription had expired". So I reviewed the packaging and saw claims such as "Never pay for ring tones again!" and "Make unlimited ring tones from any mp3 or CD", then after thoroughly reading the very small print on the back I see where it says "*Ring Factory Constantly Adds New Carriers And Phones" and then "*1 Year Subscription." Which gave me the impression that updates are available for 1 year. Had I know that the software was only good for one year, I never would have purchased the product. Overall the advertising is deceptive and the product is not worth $10 a year. I contacted customer support and received a lame response of "if you purchased it within the last 45 days you can return it" blah blah blah... I'm sure there are other programs out there which do not require a yearly subscription and do just as good of a job.

  why download this when you can go on the internet and search for files then email it to yourself and check it with your phone. there's many ways to do the same thing without downloading this software. Free!!!

  first, the "free trial doesn't work, it says 1 free tone but it is really a default tone that is a guy saying you are a sucker for downloading this. second, it is not $3.00 like it says, but 11.99 for a 6 month subscription. this is a scam

  I really liked how simple it was to take an MP3 from my desktop and convert it to a ringtone. It worked with my phone (Nokia).

  I wish they made it for Mac as well but guess I can use virtual PC if I want to use it on the Mac.

  kind of stumbled onto product by accident, nice accident. we have made some really cool ringtones. my kids and I are having a blast with it, very simple to use, we would like to see a family option for 2 or more phones in same house.

  Pros

  The user interface looks really cool and the product is very easy to use. It works so fast, as soon as I hit the upload button I get the text message within seconds. I can use my own music and pictures most of which no ring tone downloading site will ever have. It is AMAZING!!
