Rip songs, vary tempo, tweak tuning, loop and learn as you listen or play along. Define loops and play along to your favorite tracks. Practice makes perfect, and Riffster family are the perfect practice tools. Learn guitar licks, symphonic passages, keyboard tricks, and vocal parts or use Riffster for transcription. Select and save up to nine loops each with customized tempo, pitch, and volume settings. Magically vary tempo while independently tweaking tuning or completely changing key. Use EQ and phase canceling to enhance or cut particular instruments.

Riff rips CDs (web CDDB lookup finds the track name), imports MP3/WAV/WMA files, and exports processed tracks or loops as MP3s. Riffster emphasizes simple, obvious interfaces, and installs in seconds Version 2705 features multi-track CD ripping and auto naming.

Great learning tool for musicians

Pros
I've been looking for a program like this and it does what I like and need. To be able to slow down the tempo without changing the key is very time saving. In the past, I would have to retune my guitar for every song I would have to learn off a tape or CD. Not only that, but if I were tuned differently, I could just adjust the pitch of the program without touching my tuning keys. The equalizer and the ability to loop over a difficult part is very useful.
Cons
I wish it had a "Save as..." function to be able to label certain loops or songs. It does save what you have as a MP3 file automatically with the same title of the song you initially loaded.

Pros
Immediately after viewing the demo, I ordered the program. It's simplicity and GUI (easy to use) can't be overlooked. It brings the level of performance and functionality I need in my everyday work - for it's great features of slowing down the song I'm working on and taking part of the songs and turning it into loops. Exporting of song (that slowed down one and/or loops) into MP3 enables me to upload the song/loop into my Digitech GNX4 guitar workstation via CF card, where I can play along and learn the song. Great job, people of Riffster. Keep bringing up useful programs.
