AMAZING - Restored My Data !!

Had a problem with an external 1.5TB disk that for whatever reason Windows would not recognize anymore. Tried so many different programs that all failed. Restorer Ultimate was the only one that worked. Very easy to use and restore is simple. Best part, you run the diagnostic and if it works, only then you pay for the licence.
Cons
The scan took almost 7 hours to complete, but with a 820Gig partition that is normal, the other programs had a similar time frame.
Summary
It only cost $30 Canadian plus tax, was worth every penny. So called professional data recovery services were telling me data recovery can range from $250 to $1,500

The restored files (jpgs) were corrupt and unusable.
Summary
This software seems to be geared toward recovering deleted files, not files that are on corrupted media. In my case I have a damaged SD card with hundreds of photos that need to be recovered from the corrupt SD card. For my purpose, the software was useless. Ultimately, I had to find a different program to solve the problem; I was able to find a different program for around the same price that was able to recover and restore the jpg's from the SD card. If you are trying to recover photos, this is not the software for you.

You pay $50, but then it does things others can not!

You pay $50 A bit unintuitive. Once you get the hang of it, it recovers your data with all the original naming and dates.

Usually when you search for a data recovery program, you find two types of them: a very simple file recovery utility and a professional monster that can do virtually everything but with one limitation: you should be an experienced data recovery specialist. And if you aren't, it's useless. Restorer Ultimate is a good exception. So, when our corporate server went down, the job to get the data back from a dead RAID came to a system administrator, that is, to me. I tried a lot of software: WinHex, RAID Reconstructor, DMDE, and some others. Well, probably they will do the job, if I'm a data recovery specialist. But I'm not, although know about computers much more than just a common computer user. For the data recovery, I know what to do, but I don't know how to do that in that software. But with its wizard interface, Restorer Ultimate just told me how to create a RAID out of separate disks, how to search it for the lost partition, how to recover files, and so on..., until all file were recovered successfully. So, my recommendation to all computer professionals: Restorer Ultimate is what you must have in your emergency software kit. PS. Yes, I know about backups, and we do them regularly. But it happened just an hour before it would've started.

After being quoted from $1,200 to $2,000 to recover my 1.7 TB (yes, that's TB) of data removed by chkdsk I eventually found a guy who could do it for $200. He got back most of what I needed but when I found he didn't get it all back I found this software and was able to recover everything. It's cheap at twice the price! I'm currently recovering a flash drive that won't mount properly on any computer (Win 7 says it needs to be formatted)so Restorer Ultimate saves the day again. LOVE IT!

It works as advertised. For the $49 that you spend on the product it will save you cash that you would have to spend at a professional data recovery service.

None. I wish it had some other tools, such as formatting or reconditioning the drive, but this program is specifically for data recovery.
Summary
I was using an imaging program to clone my HD to new HD on my Dell Mini9 while my 16gb SDHC card was still in the SD slot. Everything was ok until I tried to access the data...inacessible. doh! Restorer2000 Pro was able to get everything off the card. I had 3.6 GB worth of music, vacation pictures, scanned pics, and purchased software. What a save!

Here is the deal, I spent over 20 hours downloading and installing applications and I can tell you there are terrible products costing $79 to $499 dollars, that this can do for $29. Buy this before they change their licensing fees.

After recovering Gigs of data, it is time consuming to have to preview each one with an addded key stroke; in order to decide to recover it or not. But the work-around is just to recover all the data and use the preview function of windows.
Summary
No product is perfect, but for $29 I got all of my data back, where many other products failed, most of them do not recognize a damaged Hard Drive and many of them were much, much, slower in data recovery.

Recover2000 recovered a corrupted disk for me that Windows refused to read (I tried various command line tools like recover and fdisk and nothing would work). <p>So, given that I found a lot of similar software (that also looked like they would work) but which were 2 or 3 times the cost, I can only give this full marks to this. <p>It recovered 100's of Megabtyes of data that Windows (Vista) couldn't.
