It looks good, but this Registry scan and repair utility performs only adequately. RegBooster's professional interface design helps users navigate the simple app. That simplicity is important as a promised online Help file is unavailable.

Operating RegBooster starts fairly simply with the press of a single Full Scan button. It's also easy to set options to scan select Registry hives. Both scans are quick. The problems start with the scan results page. The program defaults to repair all problems. Users are then forced to check a box for each error they want ignored. A simple toggle "all" or "none" selection button would have helped greatly. The program includes common options to back up the Registry before repair, and to manage the Windows Startup list. Neither option wows users with power or simplicity.

RegBooster's demo suffers from a problem common to this genre. The app will not repair any problems without registration. That makes it impossible to adequately test the program's primary repair and backup functions. That's a moot point for intermediate to advanced users who won't be impressed with RegBooster's overall performance.

Rip off of Uniblue's RegistryBooster

It has a live update function - the real RegistryBooster does not have this.
Cons
Rip off both in name and program layout of RegistryBooster. Like the real RegistryBooster has problems with false posatives - i.e. legitmate registry entries being identified as being bad.
Summary
Stay well away from garbage like this and RegistryBooster.

I have had a problem with the BSOD and windows would crash upon login. This was the only thing that was able to help cure both issues.

I downloaded this software, and, because it would'n't run, I bought the product. I ran it, it found at least a thousand "errors", and I let it repair them. My computer hasn't run right since!! It has required almost complete rebuilding of my desktop, including reinstalling many of the programs. (No, I didn't have a backup.) It continues to exhibit many problems I attribute to the registry.<p>The lingering problem is that the icons on the desktop will no longer move when clicked and dragged, in spite of visits from Firedog, suggestions from Yahoo Answers, further suggestions from Yedda, and any other thing I can think of.<p>Of course, UniBlue was of no help, and they would not refund my money, either.<p>In spite of the glowing reviews above, I will have nothing to do with UniBlue, and I suggest that no one else does either.

The only thing this software does for free is scan. You have to pay to clean, so there is no "testing" or "trying" of the product. It just scans.

I bought a Duo Core Dell Laptop with hi-fi specs couple months back. But since last few days, its speed went down considerably. After fixing my PC with RegBooster, It is back to its normal great speed. <p> <p>Thank you very much.

My PC was crashing & was very slow to run. RegBooster got it fixed within a few minutes & now my pc is running fast without crashing. Full marks to them.
