This free tool just shows you basic information regarding your PC's memory. Considering its simplicity and lack of heavy graphics, Ramdisk took a bit too long to install on our test machine. The program appears as a small, dual-pane window with two pie graphs and fields showing information such as hard-drive size, maximum amount of RAM, and RAM currently in use. Mousing over the system-tray icon gives you this data in terms of percentages. Ostensibly, the application can log its findings, but in multiple tests we could never get this feature to work. You can determine how often Ramdisk refreshes its information, but that's one of only a few user-customization options. Still, since it doesn't cost anything, we can see how this app might be a suitable system utility for beginners who don't need in-depth statistics.

its simply,does not use a lot of resouce's,its a small program that simply works for what I need.

its just shows what is used,I am just being picky because the percent that is being used one can still figure out how much is free.

Serious powerusers with half a gig of ram or more like me suffer when purposly cached stuff is unloaded from ram. Why would I want to write my programs to a SLOW disk when I have FAST RAM?

The title of this program is totally misleading. A ramdisk is an area of memory reserved to emulate a hard drive (or hard disk)to enable more efficient file processing. This is not a ram disk. It's appears to only be of use to check if any programs are hogging the ram.
