QuickBooks 2015 R3 is the newest iteration of one of the most trusted desktop-based accounting software suites on the market.

Pros

Modern design and accessibility: With a clear visual breakdown of all your options, it takes less time to dive in to QuickBooks 2015 R3 than it has in the past. Contacts, Calendar, and cloud integration have all been added.

Frequent updates and support: Intuit has worked to stay up to date with the changes in its newest iterations and frequent updates in the built-in Community tool.

Cons

Hard to find certain features: Despite recent updates, the QuickBooks 2015 interface still buries some features, and it can take time to find them. The top-level navigation doesn't quite match up to the home screen "Getting Around" interface, and it can be frustrating to dig through each menu.

Bottom Line

QuickBooks 2015 runs smoothly, features an improved interface, and the support features are updated relatively often.

A bunch of new things that the Mac edition never had.
Cons
Everything runs smoother, training is easier and usage day to day is easier with the Windows edition.

This is better than previous mac version that would quit on itself but still garbage
Cons
Quickbooks has many options and packs for downloads and support including Quickbooks pro - But they're all for a PC. The Mac version of the Quickbooks Pro is 6 times the cost of the PC version, $225/year for the PC vs. $1330/year for the mac version AND the mac version has compatibility issues. QB customer service blames the OSX operating system, but I don't see any other companies having the same
Summary
Quickbooks is not designed for a mac! It is not cross-compatible. Mac users do not get suckered in, as starting over with a new financial software is also a whole lot of work but paying 6 times the price makes starting over necessary.

Wow, where to start. Navigation is terrible. Program is not at all intuitive. Reports have become a joke. The Intuit developers seem to have the attitude "If it ain't broke, break it"

Quite possibly the worst product ever to have graced a Mac. Quicken is like AT&T of the 1970s: 'We're the phone company. We don't care, because we don't have to" At the end of 2011 we upgraded to the latest version of the software. Within days of doing that our file became corrupted. We spent HOURS on the phone with support who were polite, but clueless on what to do. We were charged $40 to have our file 'fixed' only to have it corrupt again days later. Every time something went wrong we went through the song & dance with their support staff who were hell-bent on getting us to sign up for a support plan. We finally switched to their on-line software and, I can say without fear of contradiction, its a piece of crap. You would be better off with a ledger book and ink pen.
The Worst Customer Service To Ever Deal With

Nice ads about 24 hour support and ads numerous nice features to handle bills and bill pay.
Cons
Bills being paid from wrong accounts. Customer service is not existent. If you call out of regular business hours (notice their false advertising about 24 hr service) they will tell you you will need to call in regular business hours. When you call during regular business hours they will tell you there is nothing that can be done about your issue. If you want your bill paid on time and from the correct checking account, avoid the services of this company. I see somebody else listed the contact details for the CEO of the company. Good luck getting in touch with anybody there!
Summary
Writing manually your checks for your bills is a much better and reliable choice that using this service.

Decent Production Online - Purchased the Mac version 2012 and terrible customer service. Would not recommend if you care about support and service at all! Current Intuit Products I own or services I use: Intuit Quickbooks Online - 2 accounts @ $39.95/month (over a year and previous accounts in past years as well) Intuit Efile services x 3 @ $39.95/year Quickbooks for Mac 2012 @ $183.96 (you can get it cheaper on Amazon at $138 and you don't have to deal with their terrible customer service) Intuit Mac support free for one month and $19.95/month thereafter. I'm canceling my free month as a 35 minute hold actually costs me more then the value of the free month!!!!

I have been a loyal Quickbooks Online customer for my businesses for a few years. Just dealing with their support teams for Mac has convinced me that Quickbooks and Intuit does not care about their customers or their experience. They sell you on their pro support plan at $19.95 a month but the first time I called that line I was put on hold for 35 minutes only to have the supervisor on the call unable to help. They arranged a call back for the next day with customer support which I received later then promised and the customer support rep who called me said she couldn't help me either. YES, they called to tell me they couldn't help. Another rep confirmed they only have support teams in India and Philippines on all of their outward facing numbers. No support from the US! The same Indian rep who told me that finally gave me the number and email for customer issues and I contacted the Office of the President. That office said I had to wait up to 2 days for top tier support! 2 Days?

Overall I like their products for my businesses but I can't stomach a company that cares so little about their customer's experience. I'm trying my best to find other options.

not intuitive at all and doesn't let you make a single mistake without spending the next 5 minutes telling you that you cant undo it without first undoing what you actually want it to keep. so if you want a program that will keep a PERFECT RECORD OF EVERY MISTAKE YOU MAKE. then this is the program for you. way to go quickbooks. you could not SUCK any more than you do now. you are the microsoft of invoicing software. "lets just hope that our customers can work around all of the crappy features we have incorporated into our software instead of making it better and easier to use". WAY TO GO QUICK BOOKS!!!!!! YOUR AWFUL!!!!!!! :)

I can't believe that a company this big decides to stop developing this product, then they come back with what is supposed to be a product designed from the square one and they produce this thing. It's hard to believe how many bugs does it has and how incredible slow it is... I truly hope someone is working on this thing.
It is unstable and support is overpriced!
