  It shows separate lists of all your startup programs, scheduled tasks, plug-ins, application services and Windows services.

  Cons

  Some items show the standard MS description of what are for, but every single one of them, without exception says 'Usefulness unknown. Be the first to comment this startup program'. This program is no help whatsoever for deciding what to leave and what to disable.

  I have installed it on several friends PCs to help them with boot-up issues. It is easy for non-techies to use and understand.

• What happened?

  Pros

  Seems to work on WinMe.

  Cons

  I tried it on WinMe first, I made the mistake of trying to drag and drop to the delayed box, but that deleted the entries instead of delaying them, Using the delay button worked out better but I didn't really notice muck of a difference in the start up time. Next I installed it on Win2k. That didn't work. The delayed programs did not start at all.

  Summary

  Not sure why this doesn't work on Win2k and I don't want to spend any more time trying to get it working because I don't think I really need to use it.

  It made an unauthorized change to the default search engine, from google to their own brand. That's probably how they make their money. It took me a while to figure out how to reset it.

  It has an easy to use, and understandable interface. Generally speaking, it works well, better than other apps I've tried. Did I mention, it's free.

  Cons

  I have run across a few programs that end up reassigning themselves to start up activation, "ctfmon.exe" to mention one. I have had the same problem with other start menu apps. Seems like someone could solve this.

  Summary

  Over all, I really like this program. I've been using this one for a few years now. You can find bigger, more complicated, more intrusive, and costlier apps, but for what this one does, and does well, why bother.

• Doesn´t delay only stops.

  Stops indicated programs from working.

  Cons

  After 2 attemps finally installed, but it only stopped the indicated programs from working and the delay function simply doesn´t work. Good to kick these programs out of your start-up, but not to delay.
