Used Quick Favorites for Windows?
Editors’ Review
This free tool serves as a bookmark manager, but its spotty performance left us longing for our old bookmarking tool.
At first glance, Quick Favorites has a pleasant, easy-to-use interface. It offers bright command buttons at the top for help, options, creating a new folder tab, and deleting entries. You'll also notice a bright yellow star icon that sits on top of whatever you're working on at that moment. Double-clicking the icon bookmarks the current page. During our first test, we browsed the Web and double-clicked on the star icon. It brought up another window that contained the page name, the link category, the URL, and a comment field. More often than not, the window appeared with the wrong information. The site name would appear, but the URL was wrong, or vice-versa. On top of that, we found that while the program didn't work with Firefox, it kept opening our bookmarked pages in Firefox, a glitch that didn't make sense.
After our experience with Quick Favorites, we'd rather just stick to our current bookmark manager. We recommend that you keep looking for a more solid performing bookmarking tool.
