Provost CYPHR Reader for Windows

It allows you to protect the privacy of sensitive files, folders, or messages, by encrypting them with our very strong proprietary encryption, compression and obfuscation algorithms. Once the information has been encrypted, it can be stored on insecure media or transmitted on an insecure network -like the Internet- and still remain secret. Later, the information can be decrypted into its original form.

CYPHR is a stand-alone program that can run fully isolated on a laptop or PC; NOT necessarily using any webservices or network (re-)sources. The program is very straightforward to use and lets you easily create "Cyphr" files: secure, single-file "data-safes" that are protected by several keys and a password of your choice.

A Cyphr file traditionally exists of a message, description or explanation text and a virtually unlimited amount of files of any kind. A bit like a VERY SECURE email message with file attachments. If you share a Cyphr file with another person, he or she will also need the Provost CYPHR software to be installed on a Windows PC or MAC in order to access the file. Of course, the recipient will be required to enter the exact password in order to inspect the contents of the Cyphr file.

The demo version of CYPHR can be downloaded and installed free of charge and is limited to browsing and viewing Cyphr files; so your Cyphr file can be shared with anyone with a Windows PC. Mac and Linux versions are to be released during 2014. Available soon, sometime during 2013, are Spanish, Dutch, German and French versions of the software.
