progeCAD 2016 is a professional fully-functional DWG/DXF-native CAD. Reading and writing DWG drawing files up to AutoCAD 2016, progeCAD is standing a very good chance to become one of the most cost-effective AutoCAD replacements. The new 2016 release is fully compatible with the Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 8.1 operating systems and also ready for Windows 10. The 2016 version showcases a series of new tools and features: progeCAD Cloud, Dinamic Input, Dinamic UCS, Annotative Objects, Drawing Fields, PDF/A Import. The Cloud integration allows the CAD operator to save and open drawings on a Cloud station enabling literally ubiquitous access to projects from any required place and to any required person to design, view and revise. The Dynamic input feature offers an alternative way of specifying coordinates in the drawing area and the interface new graphics are so inviting with new colours and by far more user-friendly and appealing look-and-feel. The Dynamic UCS feature speeds up 3D modelling by automatically creating a temporary plane to draw on, so that the User needs no longer to specify a new UCS every time he has to change a view. The Field tool automates the insertion of titleblock text or any other annotations in a drawing. progeCAD 2016 can create PDF files compliant with the PDF/A Standard (ISO-standardized version of the PDF) specialized for the digital preservation of electronic documents.progeCAD 2016 Professional proposes a number of advanced features: PDF to DWG Converter, 3D PDF Export, 3D ACIS Solid Modeling, Advanced Rendering, iCADLib module, free access to the TraceParts and Cadenas portals. The Professional package also puts at disposal of its Users a series of customization tools, supporting the following programming languages: LISP, DIESEL, IRX (C++ Similar to ARX), SDS (C++ ADS compatible), VBA and COM automation. The software package has no learning curve for an AutoCAD® user and is easy-to-install thanks to the implemented Downloader.
The program is generally functional and, at first glance, seems like autoCAD's twin. The price point is alluring, and if you have time to find or build any "express" tool that you need for your business, it is a fantastic steal.
Cons
There is no replacement for the pedit>multiple command. After an exhaustive search, I contacted support to see if I had overlooked anything. ProgeSOFT could not tell me if their software had such a functionality or not. I was advised to keep looking.
Summary
I have a feeling that this software is missing a great deal of the out of the box functionality of AutoCAD, just like it is missing this particular functionality. However, to add insult to injury, the lack of professionalism in this response from their customer support is shocking. Shouldn't a representative of the software know *exactly* what it does, or be able to look it up or ask a colleague? Instead of finding out and saying yes or no, I am sent on a goose chase (which I have already exhausted all of the below methods). See below:
I am not sure if progeCAD has that function or not. Try looking in the express tools which has it's own pulldown. You might find something there. Also, check the help files, and you could also try using the polyline command and join them there. There might also be free autolisp out there that can do the trick for no, or low cost. Thank you

Person Notes I downloaded progeCAD after reading online comparisons to AutoCAD. I'd like to be able to recommend to our IT department that we move over to progeCAD from AutoCAD LT.
The main problem that I run into is that we do a lot of drawing clean up for customers. They tend to make a lot of drawings where the line endpoints don't match up, and this is crucial for us because we use the drawing for automated production. AutoCAD has a feature that joins multiple polylines using a "fudge factor," or a distance between lines that is acceptable.
Is there any way to replicate this functionality in progeCAD without having to personally write script?

I guess you get what you pay for. Good thing I didn't pay for it. The trial was enough headache. (Not to mention the ridiculous security hoops you have to jump through just to download the program. This would not be so frustrating if the time in-between confirmation emails didn't take 45 min to 2 days.)
i like to use by on line down loading facility

Cons
Arbitrarily undoes your work
Summary
We bought this program because we are a start-up business and could not yet afford AutoCad, and I have regretted it ever since. It sounds like a dream alternative to AutoCad-- and it is until you are in the middle of a project and the program suddenly starts to undo all of your work. You will lose productivity from this insidious program flaw, as well as having to save your work to a different file every 30 seconds to prevent losing your work. ProgeCad is well aware of this problem and is doing NOTHING to fix it. Words cannot adequately express my disgust with the product and the company. I am borrowing money to buy AutoCad like I should have done to begin with, and I would advise you to avoid ProgeCad at all costs. You will save yourself a lot of heartache. I will never buy anything from this company again.
