  Very good for a beginner; 90% similar to Windows Notepad but with code highlights.

  Cons

  It's outdated.

  It's outdated...so much that my AVG AntiVirus-Free saw it as a threat and removed it.

  Well its like a normal notepad, it didnt help me lots. <p>I think notepad 2 is better

  Pros

  This is a great notepad program. It did everything that I've been wanting to do. It is great for building a website out of manually making HTML. It lets you distinguish what type of character it is (i.e. the symbol: < is represented by a red font color). It is also great for javascript, php, perl, and many other modes. It also has a great color picker that automatically give you the hex color code. This is a great notepad program, and I only have trial!

  Notepad++ is free, has a tabbed interface, line numbers, recognizes many programming languages.

  My friend spent 18 dollars to buy the legal version, but the serial number they given does not work. <p>The software will still require you unlock it. <p>I doubt if this software is really designed for users or just want to cheat money.
