Send and print files to another computer with printer.

Sends a PRN file (generated by printing to a printer with its port marked as FILE) to any printer installed on the system this software is run on. Great if you want to print something from a system with no physical printer attached or network printer available, print to a file (PRN), sneaker-net that file to a computer with the printer actually available and send the file to it. For instance, if your office has a killer laser printer you'd like to print your resume on, but you don't want to use your work PC to create and print the resume, install the drivers for that laser printer on your home computer, set the port (under properties ports) to File, print to it (it will create a file), put that on a thumbdrive, take it to work, run this program and point it to the printer you want and the file you created, and just like you printed it from the document editor.

Version 0.0.2 is updated the description to clarify the purpose of this software. I've added an icon like someone asked for. Also, please note that this software requires the VB6 runtime files.

Keep It Simple And Fast

Pros
Just like Kent said, Waiting for Acrobat, Word, Word Perfect, or Notepad to open before you can print can be a pain. Just open this (it has a Shortcut Icon now) and GO. Good Stuff!
Cons
Not really a problem, we just suggest maybe a screen print function for browsers.
Summary
Simple, Fast, and uses low, low resources. If you work with a lot of written documents in different applications and formats, that need to be done quickly, use this and impress your colleagues and bosses.
Print frequently-printed documents w/o opening up Word

Take those forms, pre-addressed envelopes, letterheads etc. that you print frequently and simply select them and hit Print - they're printed without the hassle of opening up Word, waiting for it to load all the extensions and do a virus check on a document you haven't modified in months, etc. <p> <p>With PrintPRNtoPrinter you're done and printed before Word would even be finished loading! Keep a folder of special pre-formatted boilerplate documents ready to be printed when needed.

Pros
In a tiny package this program lets you browse for a .prn file and choose from among all printers installed on your computer. It then sends the file to the printer you have chosen. I wouldn't change a thing.
