Still, the increased focus on player agency and exploration gives the chapter a fresh direction, pushing the horror-puzzle genre in bolder directions without losing the original’s spirit.

Deeper lore, longer gameplay, sharper terrors

The sequel expands on the formula with more open-ended areas, a broader story arc, and creative new mechanics such as the green GrabPack hand, which adds electricity-based puzzles. These additions give the game a more interactive feel, and the chapter's length, roughly three times longer than the first, gives players more time to explore and immerse themselves. The unsettling design of Mommy Long Legs also raises the psychological stakes considerably.

While the runtime is a plus, not all of it is tension-filled. Some backtracking and awkward transitions between puzzle segments slow down the pace. The puzzles are clever but can sometimes be unclear in their design. Horror fans will find much to enjoy, and with further refinement, this series could confidently stand among the best in indie horror gaming.
