PolarClock is a small and colorful screensaver application that will show the date and time based on polar coordinates. This release is a total rebuild from scratch using Flash CS3, Flex Builder, and ActionScript 3.0. There has been a staggering amount of feedback over the past few months, all of which was very useful. There are more things to add, but there are only so many hours in the day. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.

Simple and clean, but has a few bugs on 64-bit OS'es

Pros
The minimalistic design accomplishes what a lot of other "clock" screensavers try to achieve without all the clutter
Cons
Being flash-based, it's a bit difficult to install on 64-bit operating systems (check comments here: http://blog.pixelbreaker.com/polarclock) Glitches the taskbar on 64-bit windows 7 if you let the display turn off

Pros
Elegant design with subtly shifting colors, a most unusual clock.
Cons
When this screensaver is in use, the F3 key (Show All Windows) does not work on MacBook Pro keyboard or external keyboard. As soon as I disable the screensaver and reboot, the key works fine again. Tested multiple times. (OS X 10.5.8)
Summary
Although it's a beautiful screensaver, I don't use it because it causes a problem with my keyboard. I hope the developer will fix the bug.

Pros
Simple, clean, barely uses system resources. Ignore that other 'review' written by CheeseKing (I wonder if he even know how to detect a keylogger). CNET and Norton AV report it as safe. Installed very easily.
Cons
I kind of wish it would change colors on the inner rings, and look less stagnant. No biggie.
Summary
It's a good little screen saver, no frills but does what it says it does. Enjoy!

When I installed and tried to use PolarClock SnoopFree Privacy Shield alerted me that it was trying to hook my keyboard! It had no reason to do that.
