Easy to use, great live 24/7 support (my calls have always been answered in under a minute, and this is the actual support team not a call back service. amazed by the amount of features for the price. Menu input, order entry, Sales Reporting, Employee payroll, robust inventory tracking which can be dialed in to account for every bottle of liquor and down to every oz of burger meat. Maybe not as flashy as some of the other POS software out there

This software is great for the SMB restaurants, they have features to accommodate just about any restaurant business, fine dining, bar/nightclub, coffee shops, pizza, etc.

Buggy, Outsourced Help Desk, Constantly Locks up, help desk blames end user equipment even when bug can be reproduced.
Summary
ShakenSoft produces a software product called PointOS. The pricing structure and free support are great, however the product itself is full of bugs. They seem to be pushing a new update every 3-5 days and with each update brings more bugs. Fixing one bug has generally resulted in breaking other existing functionality. When you reproduce the bug for them, their outsourced help desk blames it on your network infrastructure and POS equipment. Even though we had the network certified and POS equipment replaced, they still don't accept responsibility for the amount of time and lost dollars caused by their software not working as advertised. Bottom Line: Do not buy this software. You will spend more time trying to fix it and getting it to work than you will actually ringing orders in. Also - The user posting the previous good reviews appears to be Daniel Kurland, the owner of the company.

Pros
Less than half the price of other point of sale programs. Easy to use and when I had a problem great tech support. Talks to QuickBooks and does inventory control. No contracts, yearly fees, or update costs.
Cons
No kitchen monitor, just prints kitchen tickets.
Summary
A great product for the money. I tried out over a dozen other programs before deciding on PointOS. Some were just as good or had more features that I didn't need. The software does everything my small bar needs and the staff picked it up easily. Overall I'd give it an A.

Unique features and the lowest point of sale price I could find.
Cons
Doesn't have all the feautre of Micros, but has all the ones I need.
Summary
Perfect for my bar, and I love the integrated music player. Does inventory and even exports to QuickBooks. Went though a lot of other software and for $399, can't find anything even close to as good for double the price!

Pros
The music integration is great. Customers can request songs that are automatically played when they come in the door. Also the reporting is really full. I can see everything that goes on in my bar.
