I installed PlayDVD on a machine with no other DVD decoder, hoping that it would allow me to play DVDs. It flat-out refused to play any discs that I put in, giving messages such as "Please insert DVD" and "No such drive/directory". A complete disappointment.
A very basic, but functional DVD player!

Offers good video and audio response and it actually plays a DVD after some searching for controls.
Cons
Very simple user interface. No control panel. No help screen available under the "help" scroll down menu. Offers very few of the features that are available with other DVD players.

Play DVD lets you play different audio and video formats like mp3, mp2, wmp, avi, mov, wav, midi, and VOB files as well. The main aim of Play DVD is to play DVD disc and it does that as well. You can also choose DVD directory from your hard disk or choose another DVD drive other than primary drive. Play DVD lets you change the main interface skin. Tutorials on how to make your own skin is also provided. Help file is provided with the software.
