This image-editing tool provides enough features for the majority of everyday photographers. PixSmart Digital Imager's main window provides a large preview window and a navigation bar that gives access to some of the program's more frequently used editing implements. Of course, you'll find the standard assortment of single-click functions such as resize and rotate, but you also get more advanced tools for adjusting gamma correction, equalizing the histogram, tweaking color balance, and balancing saturation. The small library of available effects can be adjusted with a handy slider, and PixSmart displays a dual-image window to preview edits before you apply them. The screen-capture tool, which can grab active windows, the entire screen, or selected regions, is an unexpected but welcome bonus. However, you won't find professional-minded features, such as support for multiple layers. However, as we mentioned previously, this program should suffice for the majority of normal editing tasks.
