• Beware - download f. publisher's site infected

  During setup, it installed several spyware and malware products. This was downloaded from the publisher's site, not from download.com's download manager. I'm not sure what the difference is, but it's not good in any case.

  Pros

  The fond memories of hours gone by digging all the spyware and adware out of the nooks and crannies that have become infected. Alch Icon Suite now serving 602 suckers. Myself, unfortunately included.

  Cons

  Hmm.. Maybe the loads of spyware and adware. Yeah, the spyware and adware. Honestly, never even used the app as Norton started hopping immediately after installation. Avoid this at all costs.

  Pros

  This is a nice free icon maker and editor. Use "Icon Sucker" to extract icons from .dll files to .ico files that this program needs.

  Cons

  I would have given it 5 stars except that it cannot extract icons from .dll files directly. There is no help file at all. The default grid is 32 x 32 and I could not find a way to change that other than opening an existing icon in the grid size I need, erasing that icon and saving as a .ico for future use.
