Picr helps you create photo journals of your everyday life, important events, or vacations by sending you reminders to take photos. You can set a reminder for literally anything, set it to repeat as often as you'd like, and take the photo directly from the app. Your photos are automatically saved to an album so it's easy to go back and browse through them or turn them into a short movie.

When you first open Picr, a short, useful tutorial will pop up to outline the general features of the app. Then you're ready to start setting up reminders or snapping photos. Because Picr was designed with selfies in mind, a grid pops up on the screen in the camera so that you can line up your photos the same way every day, although you can disable this feature if you'd like. The app will also overlay the previous day's image when you go to take the next photo unless you'd like to turn that off, as well. When you've accumulated a bunch of photos, you can turn them into a little movie, and even add music.

This app contains all of the promised features, and it runs smoothly. The intuitive interface means all of your options are only a tap or two away, and you can set reminders down to the minute to make sure you take your photo at exactly the right time. Interval options range from every 30 minutes to every month, with various levels in between. This app costs $0.99, and it's fun to play with.
