For more information on PIC gauge and to download the step-by-step instructions go to the Gates Web Site: http://www.gatesbeltwear.comUsing state-of-the-art digital imaging technology in concert with industry-standard specifications for serpentine belts, PIC Gauge determines the degree of rib wear detected on a belt. Material loss is analyzed and returns one of three belt results: Within Specification (green), Wear Detected (yellow) or Replace Belt (red). Belt wear measurements can be captured from any automotive K-section serpentine belt. PIC Gauge utilizes a photograph taken with the Smartphones built-in camera, and is analyzed by patent-pending software. The App is simple to use, and the results are immediate. Results can also be stored and retrieved for future reference. The PIC Belt Wear Gauge is the first digital tool available designed to be used by professional technicians, service writers, and do-it-yourselfers.
