  CD qallity. Works on XP and Vista Basic Easy to use

  I would prefer more control of the volume. However I believe this is now available in the latest version.

  Summary

  perfect manual reording every time. CD qallity. Have transfered this app through 3 different computers, a PC on XP, a PC on Vista Basic and a Netbook on XP, It Works every time.

  Pros

  I can't think of anything there is to like about this product.

  Cons

  Scheduling is a joke. UI is pathetic. Blue screen of death pops up about 4 times a week. Customer support is a fantasy. Recorded file size is ridiculously large.

  Summary

  This product wouldn't run as sent, I had to buy a sound card in spite of their claims to the contrary. I had to find all this out myself, their support just kept blowing smoke up my skirt. I had hours of wasted time trying to get this albatross of a software to run. Recorded file size is ginormous. 160 Mb for 1 hour of low quality, low volume mono? many files have too low a volume to be heard on any of my computers, and that's after hours of fiddling with recording settings, different net radio stations, etc. The CPU cooling fan screams at full speed all the time, making my computer run hotter than a frying pan. None of my other apps even come close to generating the heat this one does. I will never buy anything from these amateurs again. They don't have a clue, and they do not care about their customers.

  Pros

  Interface isn't gratuitous. Can be uninstalled.

  Cons

  Badly written installer and uninstaller with the potential to really damage your system (outdated DLLs).

  Summary

  I will admit I didn't try this program for very long, but any program with such a danger-prone installer is a real threat to me. As a trusted "computer guy" amongst my friends, running into DLL problems during set up is the last thing I want to throw onto them. Program interface looks squished, but at the very least it isn't a horrible UI mess. The bottom line is that I need something more polished that I can recommend and give to a friend who isn't very PC-savvy.

• Extremely easy to use compared to other audio recorders

  Pros

  I was up and running in less than 5 minutes. Very intuitve. Simple interface with the essential features needed. I don't need to pay extra money for all the other bells and whistles that I would most likely never use in another recorder.

  Cons

  Software worked perfect for my needs.

  Summary

  The product lets me record a radio show overnight on a schedule. I set it once and I don't even have to touch the interface ever again. The new recordings are right there on my desktop every morning for me and that's all I bought the software for. The quality of the recordings is perfect. I emailed support for help getting an audio stream address and they replied within the hour and they gave me the answer I needed. This is great software. Great value.

  Pros

  Not many. Might work in XP, but not Vista.

  Cons

  Requires far too much input from the user. Interface is amateurish and stark. Has never worked. No way to record multiples except to use different instances of the product. A kludge at best. A rip-off at worst.

  Summary

  This looks like a program a first year student would get a C on. Doesn't work in Vista, as far as I can tell. When you contact support, they tell you you're an idiot and everyone else seems to use it OK. Terrible product with even worse support. Don't waste your time or money like I did.
