Used PCMesh Hide Files and Folders for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Hiding files and folders couldn't be easier with this small utility. The PCMesh Hide Files and Folders interface is a mere four function buttons and a list of files or folders the app hides. Novice users won't be held back by the missing Help file, but a tiny FAQ is available online for those who must read help information.
Operating this app is a simple process. Just click a button to open the common Windows file browse dialog. Scan for the file or folder you want to hide and press a button to add it to the list. Click a button to activate the app and folders and files on the list are instantly hidden.
Press a different button to deactivate the program, and all hidden files return immediately. Testers did complain that some desktop folders returned only after a refresh. Note, the files and folders are not encrypted. The list of files and folders to hide is kept behind a single password screen.
PCMesh Hide Files and Folders has a very short five-day trial that may turn off the very novice user, but the app doesn't offer anything most experienced users haven't seen.
