Worst Help Desk I have ever dealt with

Pros
Very few. This software was intended to be a standalone piece of software operating over a modem. It has been kludged to include network processing and it works like an old piece of software that has been overly modified to try to keep up with technology. The one pro is that it will process credit cards most of the time.
Cons
Has errors every time some one sneezes. It takes little of nothing for this software to malfunction. The error messages are unhelpful. Some of the errors are serious such as double charging or not charging the customer. Their auto batch system is such a joke that they recommend that you not use it. Biggest con is their help desk. Absolutely horrible. It easily takes hours to resolve things that should take minutes. Their help desk consists of people reading scripts with no ability to work outside of those scripts.
Summary
Buy something else. Do not use this software. If the credit card processor or the POS system you are looking at requires that you use PCCharge (or Active-Charge) look for another POS or processor. This software should be a deal killer.
Gets the job done, but makes you feel cheated.

To register PC Charge products requires that you always subscribe to tech support. Tech support is awful.
Summary
They don't make this clear enough up front: to register the product requires that you always subscribe to tech support, an annual fee which costs more than the program. You have to be subscribed just to move the program from an old computer to a new one, which is the first thing that makes you feel cheated, especially if you've never had to use tech support. The second thing that makes you feel cheated is that tech support is awful - just a guy in the Philippines reading from prompts and not listening to what you have to say. It wouldn't be so bad if they were trained people reading prompts, but the guy I spoke to must've been randomly picked off a Jeepney. It took over an hour and a half just to install a program that I already had - nearly a quarter of a workday, not manpower you can waste in a small business. Who knows how bad tech support will be if there's actually something wrong with the product?
Product delivered and allowed me to accept credit cards.

Pros
This product is considered to be the best PC processing product out there. I tend to agree and have tried the top three. When I decided to activate it for live transactions Advanced Merchant Services was pleasant to deal with and gave me a good deal.
