PC Activity Monitor Pro for Windows

Though it lacks some security features found in other programs, this advanced application completely monitors computer activities. PC Activity Monitor Pro (PC Acme Pro) comes with two modules, one for configuration and one for viewing log files.

The Control Center's tabbed interface changes the password, starts the monitoring process, and chooses a destination for the log file. You also can set the logging parameters for users and file types and set up e-mail or the network delivery of log files. The View Log component generates a report in HTML format and the Manage and Analyze features let you upload and selectively view activity files by user or date.

We were impressed by the comprehensive information captured by PC Activity Monitor, including accessed programs, keystrokes, and Web sites visited. However, unlike similar monitoring programs, this application's folder is visible on the Start menu and in the file manager. This program is best suited for advanced users who want to selectively monitor computer activity, but who aren't concerned about hiding the program.
