Page Update Checker for Windows

Get instant notification when your favorite Web site is updated, with this free Firefox extension. Despite its unimaginative name and interface, Page Update Checker's performance was impressive.

Right-click on any Web page and a tabbed interface appears. It's not much to look at, but its pretty self-explanatory. You can easily schedule how often you want to check a page for updates, and, if you like, you can add a sound to the update notifications. The program comes preset with three checkers--Basic, Filter 0.3, and ebay Bid Price 0.3--but you can add your own by either importing it or creating it using javascript. A pop-up window duly appeared when test pages changed, but we were impressed that Page Update Checker went a step further and conveniently displayed change details in the window.
