OnTopWebCam shows a web cam video stream on top of all other programs (only 300 k & no installation)

It all started when my son asked me to find some WebCam software that he could use while recording games he was playing. Most screen capturing software can capture the screen but no (non commercial) tools will allow integration with the web cam. I tried to look up a few tools but none of them were good. Basically what was needed was the possibility to: 1) Stream the video from the Web cam on top of any other screen;2) Not have any ugly border;3) Make the video stream a little transparent to blend nicely to the game. After searching for a while I came to the conclusion it would be faster for me to write the software than to find it. And so OnTopWebCam was born. I hope it will be of use for someone.You can select which web cam to use and you can also swap between different web cam drivers in case you have a web cam from an old lap top for example.This software is absolutly free, has no installation wizard and is in total only 300 kb.

Installation and usage:Please follow these easy steps to start using OnTopWebCam.1) Download the zip file and unzip it to a directory you like - for example C:\OnTopWebCam2) Start the program by double clicking the OnTopWebCam.exe file3) Click on the splash screen to close it4) Move the window to where you would like your video to be seen on the screen4) Click the "start" button to start streaming your video5) A new button labeled "hide" will not be visible.6) Click on the button "Hide" and all will be invisible except the video stream. If you wish to see the buttons and windows frame again just click anywhere on the video stream.7) If you wish to screen record the next step is to start your screen recording software and ahve it ready8) If you wish to screen record a game, for example Mine craft, then start Mine craft. Notice that the transparent video stream will be on top of the game. Use the macro from your screen recording tool to start recording the game (and video stream)9) Enjoy :)
