Omegadoc Designer is a desktop publishing application to precisely design and layout fixed-layout, page-based digital publications where the precise placement of text, images and graphics is a must. In particular, Designer is especially suited to produce fixed-layout eBooks like: Children's books, comic books, cookbooks, coffee table books. Designer produced eBooks are easily exported as an IDPF EPUB 3.0 and Amazon Kindle Format 8 (KF8) formats with one click of a menu button.

The native OMG format is a proprietary format and is structured very much like EPUB3, both are based on the HTML5, CSS3 and SVG standards. In some areas, OMG captures a richer set data than EPUB3.
