I just now moved to windows 10, OEC works great on it. Quick and easy installation. Easy and successful import of old email.
Cons
No cons for me.
Summary
Highly recommended.
Great program...........with one major flaw
Rosehearty
Pros
Has the simplicity and familiarity of Outlook Express. Very affordable even for the much superior "pro" version.
Cons
Still does not support IMAP.........despite being assured that it was a high priority feature for the developers a year ago.
Summary
It has the potential to be all that most people want from an email program, but it seems that IMAP, which enables you to set the program as the default email program, could be years away. Unfortunately this makes it unusable for people running, even a very small, business.
Getting better all the time.

Pros
Being a home user (and a former user of the old Outlook Express 6) I was fed up with the more complex multi-option email clients out there. I purchased this email client and brought simplicity back into my life. I have found the developer very pro-active in improving it and very helpful to individual users in solving their issues.
Cons
It's not perfect. When I had issues the developer helped to resolve them. There are a few bells and whistles I'd like, but I'll let the developer work on the client as a whole and look forward to each update sent out regularly
Summary
I just like it because it simply works - and is getting better all the time.
Wow Yes! This really works on Windows 7/8!
andreaborman
Pros
Wow this really does work on Windows 7 and Windows 8. It is the original Outlook Express you know and love from Windows XP,Windows 2000 and past Windows Versions. I have tried to install Outlook Express from my Windows XP PC by copying the OE program file from XP to Windows 7 many times without success. So I though it could not be done. Then I found this program downloaded it and it works. I now have Outlook Express running on both Windows 7 and Windows 8. Also works on Windows Vista.
Cons
Over rights Windows Mail from Windows Vista by renaming it Windows Mail old.Making WM inactive. I think it's because they are both the same program or share the same files. Windows Mail being a later version of Outlook Express. If you still want to run Windows Mail as well you need to re-name the Windows Mail Old file back to Windows Mail again. Then you can run both OE and WM side by side.Though they may conflict with each other. Have to test that out more.
Summary
This IS Outlook Express 6 from Windows XP that's been made to work on Windows 7 and Windows 8. The only disadvantage is that if you have Windows Mail from Windows Vista Outlook Express will over right it and Windows Mail wil stop working. But as I said before I found when I re named the Windows Mail Old file back to Windows Mail ,Windows Mail was working again. And I found that both Outlook Express and Windows Mail CAN be run together on Windows 7. Though you can only have one or the other as your default email program not both.I fully recommend this program for any Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8 Users who wants to have Outlook Express, which is much bdeter than Windows Live Mail 2012. I can tell you!
Want an Outlook Express Direct Replacement? This is it!
Reluctant Techie
Pros
Has the look and feel of Outlook Express and it has a few improvements.
Not bloated with all kinds of messaging/calendar/social media interfaces to bog it down like Outlook or Mozilla Thunderbird.
If you need multiple, separate identies, the Professional version does them, and does them smoothly (unlike Thunderbird, Outlook, or LiveMail)
Great tech support if you need it.
If you need a compact, fast, clean Email Software program that retains the look and feel of Outlook Express and supports multiple identies (which most email programs don't), go for the professional version. $25 is a small price to pay for quality software.
Automatic account set up feature is nice.
Straightforward import of your existing Profiles from Outlook Express.
Cons
I wish I'd found it before frustratingly attempting to replace Outlook Express with Outlook, Thunderbird, LiveMail, etc.....
Summary
OE Express Version 2.2 retains the look and feel of Outlook Express with a few improvements thrown in. If you want and Email program with multiple identies, speed, compactness, and simplicity, this is for you.

I like it, my wife likes it, everyone I know who tries it likes it.
Very friendly interface, very easy to use, very easy to install.

Good replacement but needs some work
kcldm21
Pros
Comfortably close to OE to make it easily usable
Cons
Needs more polishing. Also, all outgoing messages have an AD for this product attached to the bottom of the message. I am definitely not happy with that
Summary
Good can be better and get rid of that ad
Outlook Express replacement that needs work. (v 1.64)

Pros
Looks great!
Cons
Way too early for release. Lacks many tools. Don't bother.
Summary
This program must be in beta. Definitely not ready for release. It has potential. It's a dead ringer of OE XP with a better look. Too bad it's missing so many tools to make it worthwhile. ( too many to list ).
