Nummarkall is a communications app tailored for Faroese residents, enabling efficient lookup of names, numbers, and towns from the national directory. It features a seven-day offline index, allowing users to identify incoming calls and manage local contacts seamlessly. The application requires sign-in with a Faroese mobile number and provides functionalities like profile editing, quick-access lists, and direct actions to call, message, or open maps from search results. This makes it especially useful for those who frequently interact with Faroese businesses or individuals.
The app integrates with the official Faroese directory for caller identification, allowing users to see details for incoming calls from listed numbers. Users must set the app as the default caller ID handler and grant permissions for it to display over other apps. With an interface available only in Faroese, the app caters specifically to local users, but this also limits accessibility for non-Faroese speakers, making it a focused tool for the Faroese community.
