• Does EVERYTHING Ghost Does + Cheaper = BETTER!

  Pros

  Image your hard drive, create restore points.. All of the features that you ACTUALLY USE in ghost are here in S&R. Can be bought at a much cheaper price than Ghost.

  Nothing that I can think Of.

  Summary

  HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Better than Acronis and Same as Ghost.

  This is not Norton Ghost! "brduran" claims the two are identical which clearly shows me he has no knowledge of Norton ghost whatsoever. I can guarantee there is nothing even similar when talking about Ghost, nothing, zero. I wouldn't waste my time with this program. No pros at all. Just more junk by Norton.

  Cons

  On the other hand Norton Ghost in v12 or v14 are superior cloning / backup programs. Both recover identical to the backup or clone they create. I'm positive of this because I use Ghost 12 and have successfully cloned Windows XP Pro, Vista Home Premium and Vista Ultimate. I have recovered all three to an identical operating system with programs, folders and files just as they were at the time I cloned the drive.

  Easy to setup. I used it in combination with a SeaGate external drive. Via this method, I was able to progressively add more programs to the "core collection" and [if necessary] always be able to roll back to a fully tested functional version.

  Cons

  When choosing the version to backup to, only the date is displayed. The additional file details were not visible, so I always had to make note of the date of the backup while in Windows before commencing on the backup.

  Back-up is easy to set up and easy to restore

  Cons

  I upgraded to Vista from XP and they haven't released a patch yet so it is compatible. Somehow CNET thinks it is. It can take up resources if you set it to work faster but I try to do mine at night when I don't use it.
