Nodemon watches your Node.js projects and automatically restarts the server when it detects changes. It's a wrapper around the 'node' command, so it requires almost no code modification. Great for speeding up development.

  • Pros

    • Automatically restarts Node.js apps on file changes | Works with servers, utilities, and REPLs | Configuration is easy, using CLI or API | Extensive documentation helps with customization

  • Cons

    • CLI arguments can be difficult to control sometimes | Requires Node.js and npm, obviously | Another dependency to add to your project
