  Simplifies the creation of 3d plants and trees works as its meant to work, reliable, and easy to use. comes with example models for three basic plant types, and some stock textures, new plants are simple to make using this program and your images

  Can only import one type of image file for textures. Resulting models are very high poly leaves are considered a branching level

  Use this software to design 3d plants, and then make them into billboard images. Stand-alone programs that can help you make convincing 3d plants for your scenes are rare indeed, this is the only one I've stumbled on so far that is open source, free, and relatively easy to use. Visit the website for more information, it will make using NGPlant much easier when you've read the information there. when creating texture images for use with NGplant, be sure to create them on a transparent background from the start, otherwise you can end up with white margins on leaves and blooms. Note: The limitations I noted in this review may have been addressed by the creators since I first tested the software. I hope to see it continue to improve as time goes on.
