  It produces reliable mpg video conversions

  Cons

  The conversion quality of the free version is limited to 1800kbps. I would like to use higher bit rates, but nowhere can I find out if by buying the professional package, this can be achieved. I don't fancy shelling out to find out! The email address for support on the website is defunct.

• Won't Work Unless You Upgrade to Pro Edition

  Summary

  I downloaded this to convert a video from RM format, but as soon as I installed and added the video and hit "start," a window popped up that says "Are you want to upgrade to professional version?" Sigh.

  Pros

  It was simple to install and offers an impressive range of file formats. The interface is clear and uncluttered.

  Cons

  Not sure about the Burn button, and adding folders to burn to disc. I was converting an flv file to burn to DVD so non-computer literate family could watch on their TV. Will try again tonight with a different burn app.

  Pros

  I like the fact that the product allow you to upload several videos at a time instead of one at a time. There are so many diferent conversions to choose from.

  Cons

  What I don't like is that when I upload several videos to convert, I don't know which one is converting first. I also have a problem with not knowing which conversion is for what program and/or devices. For example: wmv7, wmv8, wmv9, avi, etc.

  Summary

  I would recommend this program for any one that wants to convert there videos. It doesn't slow your computer down and you can still work on what you're working on, or visit other web sites, etc. without many interruptions. The only interruption is that when it does it's conversion, your output folder pops up so that you can view that file conversion.

  Summary

  I needed to convert video files from a newer camcorder for use in powerpoint 2003. This product did the trick. You select the file you wish to convert, choose a format to convert to from a graphic interface, and then press start. That's it. In short, it does exactly what you need it to do, easily.
