The Australians behind AudioCodex should not be confused with other Aussie material that is frowned upon (Neighbours / Home and Away) ! These AC fellas know a thing or two about music and how it SHOULD be heard. Superb. Brilliant.
Music-tastic!

Also, can't get playlists to display entire name, even if I drag the playlist column wider and wider, instead all titles simply cutoff and end with â??â?? ... â??â??
The way the visuals â??â??kinda but not reallyâ??â?? respond to the sound is pretty lameâ??â?? - basically there's no reason for me to use this application when I have better alternatives.
My Mac is Graphics-card stacked, so no clue as to why it's such an ugly mess.

I you are a singer, a musician, or an enthusiast, this is program makes it FUN to listen to music. One of the best features is te ability to speed up or slow down the tempo of any song in your collection, and the sound quality is superb. If you are trying to learn a part, you can loop the part and slow it down. You can also adjust the pitch, so if the song is too high for you to sing, or its not in tune with your instrument you can take care of that with a simple real time adjustment. UNlike iTunes, the visuals are INTERACTIVE. You can actually use a mouse or a midi conroller to manipulate the visuals to the music. For serious musicians, you can use all of your AudioUnit plug ins on any of the tracks!! Anoher greatfeature is Tap Tempo. You can tap the speed that you want your music to play back at, and AudioCodex works very well alongside other PRO app. An overlooked feature of AudioCodex, is the Bulletin board, and their fantastic, personal service. THUMBS WAY UP.
Brilliant when you actually check it out

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Without a doubt, it is the best audio/video manipulator I have ever used (and probably, all most of us would need).
I particularly like the extensive preferences, and the ability to change the control systems to suit the beginer through to the professional.
Well done guys - keep it coming.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Upon opening this latest update, despite any remaining bugs, I can boldly testify that this application will be for real. I don't base this statement on any light evidence as over the past six months I've provided my fair share of negative feedback regarding bugs and awkward usability issues (note that the only reason I took the time to criticize is because this application had "potentially tremendous functionality and quality" written all over it).
My evidence is the work I've witnessed this group of developers put into each iteration of their application. Not only has each update been a significant improvement over the last, but more importantly, they listen to their users. They listen and evolve. This latest update is a shining testament to that notion.
I can understand frustration with any bug related crashes, etc, but remember this is pre-release. I'd urge anyone who has tried AudioCodex and turned away due to bug-based disappointments to at the very least place a small reminder on your ical to check back in the future for a stable release. I'm not betting on the product, I'm betting on the developers due to what I've seen them steadily churn out. Due to developer dedication, AudioCodex will inherently become just as great, it's a mere matter of time. I know I'll certainly stay tuned!
Keep rollin' developers, you're almost there and should feel very good about the progress you've made. I'm looking forward to 1.0!
