• Good product, easy to use.

  Pros

  I operate only as the free version. It gives a good view of my network and what equipment is in operation... even when the kids are up late using their PCs and iPod when they should be asleep ;))

  Cons

  It loads with companion software Sereniti Network Connection Manager which was slowing my Dell PC and kept killing my Dell laptop's wireless connection (a LAN profile had an error). I have uninstalled Connection Manager and NetTrooper works fine.

  Summary

  Very simple to use, gives a good view of equipment on your network, including any intruders if you make sure you name your gear on initial logon (otherwise it's just an IP address). It would be better product if it had ability to track items via MAC address and allow you to block selected equipment.

  easy instalation and wasting of time, to get the message to pay, than to try the compleat version !!

  Cons

  another free which is not at all, not even for 1 day ! the basic version does nothing, need to pay first.if you want to try free software forget this one!

  I like the fact that NT statuses PCs continually, and the router management part, which made it pretty easy to bolt down my Linksys.

  Pros

  Using a product like NetTrooper to secure your home network should be a high priority for all home computer users. Two years ago I was a victim of identity theft and boy do I wish I had a product like NetTrooper to protect me!

  Pros

  I found NetTrooper to really be for anyone from the novice home computer user to the savviest of technology ambassadors. I sure feel my home network is secure now & the ID theft insurance is just a HUGE added bonus!

  Pros

  I use a large network at my office everyday but had yet to attempt setting one up at home. I was able to sync up all of our home computers and finally set up my wireless connection. I know next to nothing about networking but NetTrooper made me feel like a pro!

• Makes home network diagnosis super easy!

  Pros

  The graphic interface greatly simplifies figuring out network device management. The learning-curve is short; the intuitive functions all walk you through figuring out what devices aren't speaking to the rest of the network. Great to set up on the computer of a non-tech-savvy relative or friend to help them fix their own network problems (instead of calling you to do it!).

  Cons

  I'd like to see some security features bundled with NetTrooper. Still, AV and firewalls, etc. are easy enough to download elsewhere. It would just simplify the process and take those steps out of network diagnosis.

• Now I won't have to update Mom's computer when I go home for holidays

  Pros

  When I go home for the holidays I always spend half a day updating all the microsoft patches and anti-virus updates for me madre. For a full year she ignores the alerts and emails and her PC is just a mess. This year I installed NetTrooper, so I can sit around and drink eggnog instead of waiting on patch after patch. THe $25K insurance for identity theft is a plus--can stop worrying about mom surreptitiously funding some eastern european gang.
