Though it certainly won't win any awards for design, this sturdy application quickly looks up and creates domain names. Domain Name Analyzer and Generator's hackneyed interface lets you choose from the 17 Top Level Domain (TLD) extensions and key in potential domain names. You also can insert keywords for the program to develop names for you. Select the names to check availability and the application impressively displays its results. You'll quickly see whether a domain is available or taken along with information such as the server names, registrar, creation, expiration, and updates. Overall, this free application works well and is easy enough for anyone to use.

Quick, Easy. Lets you Load and Check ANY TLD extension.

Pros
Interface is easy. Tooltips tell you which buttons to let you quickly start. You can be searching in just a few clicks -- fast learning curve -- intuitive. Is powerful: you can ADD any newer or country-code TLDs (.co, .mobi, .se, .me, etc.) and have those searched for availability too. This is done in a very simple interface, also with a couple of clicks. Suggestions are totally customizable if you're not happy with the many clever built-in ideas. You can choose various prefixes, suffixes, etc., for it to auto-check. When you want to register, you can get the domain name FREE (depending on sale terms and timing), but always for $1.99. I got a .COM and 5 .INFO names, each for $1.99, and I got FREE PRIVACY on all of them. That's 6 (SIX!) domain names with privacy for $11.94 by just clicking the register-now button and the software takes me to HostingDude.com. But that's not required necessary -- I can always register anywhere I want. The software is still free.
Cons
There is no built-in "wizard" that I could find, but it really wasn't necessary since tooltips showed me exactly where to start in about 15 seconds. From there it was 100 percent intuitive.
Summary
Quick, easy, powerful, intuitive. Let you customize all you want. Does all the work for you. Makes clever and useful suggestions. Lets you add any TLD. Lets you REGISTER DIRT-CHEAP!!! :-) PROS: Interface is easy. Tooltips tell you which buttons to let you quickly start. You can be searching in just a few clicks -- fast learning curve -- intuitive. Hard to find anything else it needed, really. It's a classic that always works, and works right.<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Nov 6, 2013<p/>OK, I found the WIZARD -- it's actually VERY fast and easy to use to get started. Does Everything Offered, PLUS! Easy install/uninstall

Pros
It does just what they say it does, and it will do a lot more if you want to dig in. Makes clever and catchy suggestions. Six of the domain names I registered were under $2, and so I was shocked when I also got Free Privacy -- nobody can see my domain name ownership. Oh, and you can add new TLDs to lookup as they come out (like .ME or country code TLDs)... so it will scale to fit anything. Easy uninstall. Whew! Also, this thing checks each domain name that it creates to be sure somebody else hasn't grabbed it first. That made it extremely simple to choose the best names that were AVAILABLE, and I didn't need to hunt them down. It's a good little piece of software. Oh, and it actually uninstalls itself without a hassle. It's not spamware or malware or junkware. It doesn't try to sell you a better version of itself. It IS the full version. You can uninstall it from your main menu, or the control panel. Simplest uninstall I've seen in software since DOS. No kidding on that one!
Cons
Getting started is a the only pause-point. It's basically a matter of clicking on a box, but if you don't take a couple of seconds to move your mouse over the icons, you won't know which one to click first. This is not a big issue, because it has tool-tips which pop up when you move the mouse over the icon.
Summary
Does what it says. Does a whole lot more if you are a Domain Name Hardcore. Add new Domain Extensions TLDs as they come available. Easy to use. Really Easy! Creates all kinds of Domain Names. Checks each name to see if it's taken. Saves Time - moves fast fast fast. Does lots more if you want to have more powerful domain name tools. Hard to find anything wrong with this, and who is gonna argue with a $1.99 Domain Name that you can register when you find what you want? I said... "Wow"!
Best tool ever

Pros
Incredibly useful tool, perfect for anyone that buys and sells domain names.
Cons
None, this is great!

Pros
It does exactly what it says it will do. Easy to run. Actually makes pretty clever and catchy suggestions. Six of the domain names I chose to register were under $2, and so I was shocked when I also got Free Privacy -- nobody can see my domain name ownership. I was pretty happy. Also, this thing checks each domain name that it creates to be sure somebody else hasn't grabbed it first. Cons
Getting started is just a matter of clicking on a box, but if you don't take a couple of seconds to move your mouse over the icons, you'll not know which to click first. This is not a major problem, because it has tooltips which pop up when you move the mouse over the icon.
Summary
Does what it says. You can do a lot more if you want. Easy to use. Actually forms all kinds of Domain Names. Checks each name to see if somebody has taken it first (VERY IMPORTANT!) Does lots more if you want to have more powerful domain name tools.
Powerful - I think - not intuitive to use at all
gmtgmtNovember 15, 2011
Pros
It seems to be highly rated as being very effective, so credit must be given where it is due.
Cons
Counter intuitive. It feels like it was written by someone highly competant technically - but with little idea of how to make an **intuitive** user interface.
Summary
If you are determined to learn how to use the program despite itself, then it seems to be very effective at what it does. If you need something which is intuitive to use, perhaps not the first choice.
Clunky, slow, not very useful
robinthedaddySeptember 14, 2010
Pros
Not very much
Cons
Interface is dated & overly complex, process is slow, results are nowhere near definitive, search capacity of 2 keywords is very limiting
Summary
Maybe I'm not geeky enough to get this product, but I really didn't find it at all useful, very sorry to say
Misleading
ujclarkJune 30, 2010
Pros
Does what it says, simple and straightforward, you can "build" a domain name - I like that.
Cons
The $1.99 is somewhat misleading. This price is only for the less popular domain names ending in .net, .info and the like.
Summary
If you need a quick and easy way to find available domain names, use this software. But don't expect to get a .com domain name for $1.99
Excellent at GENERATING NAMES; finding AVAILABLE names
kstuartnelsonNovember 13, 2008
Pros
Great at generating new names I never really thought of. And I can have it check ANY TLD extension for availability. It's super for finding 3-character domain names and showing me which of these are available. That's a big key in dn investing.
Cons
Actually another PRO. After finding the available names, I was able to register them right through HostingDude.com (the software author)for .99 cents a domain, which I thought was pretty much excellent, and I got quite a few good ones

When new TLDs come along, I just add them in to this software. I can just put them in as additional TLDs to use, and it checks them for availability also. I love that. Good job. I've made some money on some great domain finds that I would not have otherwise had, but this software spotted for me. Thanks. All for free, too. No need to upgrade or buy anything else.
Handy tool for web developers
Eric GondweOctober 12, 2008
Pros
Useful software for web developers. Getting the right domain name is critical for a website you want to associate your organization or whatever entity with. This tool makes looking up relevant domain names less of a headache. Be blessed.
Cons
Nothing on cons
Summary
faster than other software or online
booksellergirlFebruary 26, 2008
Pros
it's faster than searching on major registration sites, and i got a domain for $1.99 -- plus free website... you can do lots with it, i tried the rest, but this one works. installs pretty easy and removes completely when i'm done
Cons
takes a couple mins to learn, but worth it for the speed ....it's powerful, but that also means there are lots of options to figure out...
