Rip pictures, video, audio and more from the web, or entire websites for offline browsing.
NCollector Studio is an all in one offline browser, website ripper/crawler aimed at home users and professionals needing to download specific files from a website or full websites for offline browsing. NCollector Studio consists of a user friendly windows application and a high performance command line utility using the same powerful crawl engine. NCollector Studio features the following modes:* Crawl any website for photos, videos, documents or other specific file types using the file rip mode, featuring powerful filtering options to find the files you need. * Search mode can be used to download photos, videos etc. by simply specifying a search provider and a search phrase. No other configuration required.* The offline browser mode is able to download a website for offline browsing (when an internet connection is not available for example), or simply to archive a fully functional snapshot of a website. * The mirror mode works the same way as the offline browser mode, only it does not translate the links for offline use, creating an exact snapshot of the source website.
I've been using NCollector for several months. I think it's great. It works very well. I didn't notice high cpu. No problems at all.
Cons
No complaints.

Pros
Let it be no secret that there is a LOT of software out there that claims to be able to create browsable offline versions of that exact website that you want a copy of.
More often than not, you will end up wasting a lot of your time, and the downloaded result will not look anything like it did while online.
Not so with this excellent piece of software. After having wasted WEEKS of my life, I finally ended up giving NCollector a try.
What a difference that made - not only is the programs interface straightforward, the options presented to you make sense and are simple to control, the program downloads everything at full speed without stupid buffer over- or underruns, and most important of all: The downloaded result *works*. CSS, Javascript, passworded websites - everything is catered for and functional. Furthermore, the program is under constant development, and should you discover a bug or have a technical question, the developers themselves will help you out in a very friendly manner.
Cons
The Google/Bing Image search needs some work.
Does not handle Flash-only sites.
Summary
I cannot recommend this highly enough. Only one other program equals the features you find in this package, and that one costs three times as much.
loaded system, got 35% of pics

Pros
its best at giving you a report of what it has done
Cons
goes to its parent web site with each project, not cool at all. Did not do well in testing one any but one count it does give good reports to print out. SEE BELOW
Summary
Ran it on severial sites to see what it had. It used a max of 36% of the CPU and 6 Gig of Ram running downloading @ 1.2 Meg Thread count was a little high for this type program but not to bad. Ran it @ 10 connection but my system showed it using 20 and connecting to a backdoor site of the some URL I had it go fater. Don't know what that was about. Some sites use the same Name for the Same Pics of Different Res. This program would abort the download after it had one Pic and did not go after any High Res stuff unless it got it first. It would get the EntireWeb Site for Off Line Work and did that a Fair Job of that. Over all I just did not like the Program and could not recomend it to my coustomer. It did do a lot of things better than some of the other so if you have a fast system you may wish to try it but it takes some time to master it.
