Probley the best free half life modification

Pros
To start it off i play this alot..theres tons of good servers and theres good challenges to be had. I like the choices to be alien or marine and even more theres upgrades and on some servers theres "xmenu" where you can even upgrade more. aliens have 5 differnt lifeforms and marines have jetpacks and heavy armor. There are 2 versions of the game..there is combat...head to head team fighting..or there is the Real-time version of the game where marines have a command center and aliens have hives..over all fun gameplay.

Things i hate about it ..ive ran into hackers online before..when i was alien..they'd pull out welders and fly around me really fast. And there's scripting going on with players with no skill whatsoever. another thing that will tick me off is the severs bots will be set to hard and you cant beat them wich takes the fun out of severs hosting bots.....but if you can tolerate that...NS is a very good game

Choose between Marines or aliens in this multiplayer-only Half-Life mod.

Natural Selection is a multiplayer-only Half-Life mod where one team plays marines and the other plays aliens. The humans must keep their cool and work together to assault an alien-infested spacecraft or colony. Marines vs. marines and aliens vs. aliens scenarios will also be supported in the near future.

This mod features "first-person strategy" with a real resource model and consequences for actions. Both sides are genuinely different and together they accommodate different play styles.

With Marines, fighting skill is less important, strategy and communication take its place. Playing as a marine will be a tense experience with methodical planning and strategy, interrupted with action.

On the other hand, playing as an alien will be an intense action experience, rewarding reflexes and alien heroics. Communication and coordination don't require typing.
