• Massive file. Better be worth the wait!

  Pros

  Don't know yet. At 24% now. Still downloading the 372MB file. Started the download just (April). Will check back in June and see if it's finished. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  Cons

  Need to know the OS requirements for 5.0 up front. Or wasted all the time and bandwidth downloading the 372MB file for nothing.

  Summary

  One good think about downloading huge files... You can check out some groovy you tube tunes. Here's one.... Search for Harry Roy and His Orchestra and look for a song about a cat.

• Great Free CAD package

  Pros

  Free. Easy to install and if you know other packages you will be draing very quickly. This is not a toy product for designing your garden. It is a package for Drafting.

  Cons

  No Lisp in the current version (is in the Beta for next release)

  Summary

  Get all your engineers and draftys on NanoCAD save the cost for the designers and modellers that need the other packages

  Pros

  WONDERFUL. THANK YOU>Almost exactly like Autodesk cad. A few small variances like "inspector" instead of "inquiry" I have now installed V4.0 also. Install took about 50 minutes with verizon 4Glte, and went flawlessly. I figured out how to do a 3D helix drawing using the Russian youtube tutorial. never did figure out 3D previously. Help is right there, OFFLINE. yeah, and actually helpful. I am 100% mobile. If install is difficult, look CLOSELY at 1 vs l, yes, that is ONE vs the small letter l. Who would put those in a serial #? also 0 vs O.

  Cons

  I have not been able to insert an image file yet, there is an icon for it, but so far no luck.

  Summary

  I have tried several low cost and free cad softwares, I stop my search at Nanocad because it does almost everthing that I want. I hope a later version might do the insert image thing, I ralize that is not most folks priority, I am retired civil tech and now using cad to design quilts.

  Not majorly complicated, so OK for a fast schematic.

  Cons

  The CNET downloader might be why the other person had problems. Use the direct download option under the DL button.

  Summary

  I am just testing CAD programs for my school academy. So if anyone is able to successfully download this and give it a good rating ill consider trying to install it again.
